The built-in foundation year will provide the basis for your undergraduate study by teaching you key transferable skills in time management, writing, critical analysis, and scientific research. Youll also get introduced to the fundamental methods used by scientists, including basic mathematics concepts, analyzing scientific data, laboratory techniques, and presenting findings in graphs and written form. The foundation year will be shared with students from other foundation year degrees in the School of Human Sciences, which will prove the perfect opportunity to learn about other scientific disciplines and gain different perspectives on the topics you study.
At least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma) English Language and Mathematics GCSE at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent, eg Functional Skills at Level 2) €“ if you meet UCAS points criteria but obtained a grade D/3 in English and/or Maths at GCSE you may be offered a University test in these areas
