Research and Plan Early
Start researching universities, programmes, and scholarships at least one year before your intended intake. Check each scholarship’s eligibility criteria, deadline, and documentation requirements.
Prepare Required Documents
You will generally need academic transcripts, proof of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE), a personal statement or motivation letter, recommendation letters, and a copy of your passport.
Submit University Applications
Most scholarships require that you first apply and receive an offer from a recognised New Zealand institution. Apply early to increase your chances.
Apply for Scholarships
Once you receive your offer letter, submit your scholarship applications. Follow instructions carefully and ensure all supporting documents are complete and correctly formatted.
Attend Interviews if Required
Some competitive scholarships require interviews. Be ready to discuss your academic interests, career plans, and how your education in New Zealand will contribute to your home country.
