OIETC Hero

What is OIETC / Oxford ELLT?

OIETC stands for Oxford International English Test Centre, part of the Oxford International Education Group. It delivers English tests and courses for higher education and professional purposes.

About the Oxford ELLT

The main test used for university entry is the English Language Level Test (ELLT), now branded as Oxford ELLT. It is a fully online English language level test designed to measure your Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. It is built to work even in low bandwidth environments and is accepted by a wide range of universities as proof of English level.

Your performance is reported using the CEFR scale (for example B1, B2, C1) and often accompanied by an IELTS equivalency for university use.

For many international students, OIETC / Oxford ELLT is a convenient alternative to sitting IELTS in a physical test centre, particularly when applying to partner universities that officially accept it.

About the Oxford ELLT

Who Should Consider OIETC /
Oxford ELLT?

Before you decide, BHE UNI checks whether your chosen universities and programmes accept OIETC / Oxford ELLT and what level they require.
