Biochemistry has become the foundation for understanding all biological processes. This foundation year pathway is designed to help you build both a strong foundational knowledge in biology and chemistry, so you are ready to progress and succeed on the full BSc (Hons) Biochemistry degree.
This pathway is recommended if you want to study the full honours degree, but don’t meet the direct entry requirements. On successful completion of the foundation year, you will progress on to the full honours degree, where you will continue to build specialised knowledge of the chemical processes which underpin all living organisms.
Our full honours biochemistry degree is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology, which means it contains a solid academic foundation in biological knowledge and key skills, and prepares graduates to address the needs of employers. We pride ourselves on our research and have recently invested extensively in our facilities to ensure that you are able to complete research projects that are exciting and inspiring, contributing useful findings to the field.
