Course Overview

Although primarily a visual course for artists and illustrators, authorial control over content is also hugely important in the children's book€¯field, so the ability to write creatively and to fuse written and visual content is an important component in the practice of childrens book illustration. The emphasis of the course is on the practice of illustration for childrens picture books and storybooks. At the postgraduate level, you will be encouraged to pursue an original line of inquiry within your chosen area of childrens book illustration and design.

General Eligibility

Applicants should hold at least a 2:2 degree in a relevant science or health-related subject. Nonstandard applications will be considered, including a PG Award with Merit or Distinction if the degree is lower than 2:2. Applications from all candidates will be considered on their merits in the light of the nature and scope of the program and if they have experience working with clinical populations IELTS: Score of at least 6.5 with no component below 6.0
