Why Choose Sustainability?

Would you like to change the world and make an impact in your community? The Sustainability program at Elmira will empower you to identify the links between environmental, political, and social factors that influence global health and development.

What Sustainability Will Teach You

You’ll examine contemporary issues such as climate change and environmental ethics from multiple perspectives. Through a combination of interdisciplinary courses and immersive, on-location research in the Finger Lakes and around the world, you’ll also gain firsthand experience engaging with environmental issues and prepare for careers tackling the significant challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.

General Eligibility

Sustainability is an interdisciplinary program designed to examine sustainability holistically. Students will explore the topic through multiple lenses, from economic to societal.

Additionally, on-site case studies and travel opportunities are built into the curriculum.
