Course Overview

Youll study a range of core modules in the areas of English grammar, discourse analysis, language; the psychology of language, sociolinguistics, and history and varieties of English. There is also a wide selection of optional modules so you can focus on the areas that interest you most. One such area is the Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Depending on the number of TESOL-related modules you take, its possible to graduate with the degree award of €˜BA English Language Studies with TESOL, which will give you additional employability.

General Eligibility

120 UCAS Tariff points From a combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications which may include: A-level, BTEC Diplomas/Extended Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, Access to HE Diplomas, or the International Baccalaureate. GCSE Requirements: Applicants will need Maths and English Language at minimum grade 4/C, or an equivalent.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
