During your foundation year, the focus will be on providing you with the study skills and fundamental scientific knowledge that will help you prepare for the subsequent three years of your studies. Youll receive excellent support from tutors and services at the University, which will help you to succeed academically and prepare you for a career after graduation. The foundation year will be shared with students from other specialisms within the School of Human Sciences, which will present the perfect opportunity to meet other students and learn about other scientific disciplines.
At least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma) but may not have achieved the appropriate grades to immediately join a BSc program. English Language and Mathematics GCSEs at grade C (grade 4) or above (or equivalent). Applicants who meet the UCAS points criteria but who obtained a D (grade 3) in English and/or Maths at GCSE may be offered a University test in these areas.
