Course Overview

The preparatory year on our Medical Bioscience (including foundation year) BSc (Hons) will ensure you are fully prepared for the rest of your course. In Year 0 youll cover several key concepts in medical bioscience including the important functions of molecules in biochemistry, an introduction to human physiology, laboratory techniques, logical argument, and basic mathematical concepts. The foundation year is shared with several other science-related foundation courses, so youll get to study alongside other students who are interested in varying scientific disciplines.

General Eligibility

At least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma) English Language and Mathematics GCSEs at grade C (grade 4) or above (or equivalent)
