MA Heritage Management

Course Overview

You’ll explore how heritage sites are managed, presented and explained. We’ll teach you to consider their value beyond something to see or a place to visit.

What challenges are heritage bodies currently facing? What choices do they make in dealing with them? How will pressures on public funding for heritage in the UK – and further afield – shape our experience of visiting and working in museums and heritage sites in the future? And how will our wider understanding of heritage change as a result?

Trying to answer such questions provides a framework for practical work in the sector, underpinned by hands-on, supportive teaching. We want you to become involved in a range of projects, working with our extensive range of partners, and to gain experience on the ground.

General Eligibility

• Indian students with 65% marks at Grade XII / Pakistani students with 70% marks at Grade XII

• A Level – Grades BCC

• Accredited Prior Learning equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2.

• Other equivalent qualifications from EduQual/BTEC with Merit.

• Copy of latest school credentials

• Passport copy

• Emirates ID (if any)

• Visa Page Copy

• Passport Size ID photo

Successful completion of one of the following:

• A recognized post-secondary course.

• University preparation (foundation) studies.

• One year of study at a recognized tertiary or higher education institution.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• A mandatory English Language Test by Bath Spa University UK conducted in the Bath Spa University Academic Center RAK Campus; or IELTS (Academic) test results with an overall score of 6.0, minimum score of 5.5 for each skill/band.
