Nutrition professionals have been graduating from our University for almost 20 years. We have an excellent reputation as one of the major providers of nutrition-related courses in the UK. Features of our course include AfN accreditation, professional development seminars, and a work-based placement module, all of which contribute to the excellent employment prospects of our graduates. We have strong links with the AfN, the food industry, and other employers including the NHS, Public Health England, and NoWFOOD – The North West Food Research Development Centre, which is also based on the Exton Park (Parkgate Road) site. All our tutors are undertaking research and scholarly activity which continues to promote the field of nutrition. We also offer you flexibility in that you can study on a full-time or part-time basis.
Our staff within the department have a variety of skills and experience from across the nutrition and health domain, including exercise physiology, sports nutrition, public health, nutritional science, and dietetics.
Prospects remain strong with 100% of our graduates finding graduate employment or further education within 6 months of graduation. Many of our graduates follow one of the many careers offered by the food and health industries. A significant number of our graduates continue to study with us at the University by undertaking a Masters's degree (1 year) in specialist topics including public health nutrition, weight management, and sports & exercise nutrition.
