BSc in Food Science and Technology

Course Overview

The BSc in Food Science and Technology builds technical knowledge across food chemistry, microbiology, engineering, and quality management systems. Originating within the century-long history of the American Farm School, the degree maintains strong linkages with food processing industries throughout Southeast Europe. Students utilize campus processing lines for dairy, olive oil, and agronomic products, linking academic theory directly with commercial manufacturing standards. Graduates secure roles in product development, quality control, food regulation, and industrial processing operations.

Scholarships & Financial Aid

Perrotis College awards merit-based and need-based financial aid subsidies. All admitted undergraduate students receive partial tuition subsidies, reducing standard annual costs.

Application Process

1. High school diploma and translated official transcripts.

2. Completed application form with a personal statement.

3. Two letters of recommendation.

4. Proof of English proficiency.

5. Admissions interview (in-person or online).

Part Time Work Details

Non-EU students can work up to 20 hours per week during academic terms under Greek student visa regulations.

Language Requirement

• Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following qualifications or take the internal institutional test:

  • IELTS: Minimum overall score of 6.0

  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 75-80

  • PTE Academic: Minimum score equivalent to B2/C1 CEFR level

  • Duolingo: Accepted equivalent standard meeting B2 entry requirements

  • Oxford Placement Test (OPT): Available on-site at Perrotis College for applicants without certified test scores
