BA (Hons) in Media and Communications

This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the media and communications industries. Students will learn about the various forms of media, including print, broadcasting, and digital media, as well as the role of communication in shaping society. The course will cover topics such as media theory, media law, and ethics, as well as practical skills in media production and distribution. Graduates of this program will be well-equipped to pursue careers in a variety of fields, including journalism, public relations, marketing, and more.

There is ongoing enterprise support available from the Centre for Entrepreneurship designed to help provide the best chance to create a successful enterprise. This includes business mentoring, funding advice, free office space and networking opportunities.

Other students might choose to continue the further study through our MA Specialist Journalism programme and might progress to doctoral-level studies. Graduates from our MA Specialist Journalism programme are now working in the professional media industry with Future Fusion New York, Cardiff City FC, Dead Press and GTFM Radio.

Minimum three A levels. Grades CC to include a Science/Food/Nutrition subject.
