The MSc Counterterrorism, Risk Management, and Resilience pathway are specifically tailored for students interested in developing a career in risk management or insurance, focusing on protective security against terrorism and related threats. This pathway should appeal to candidates who are either serving or recently retired from government, military, or police agencies or those already in the risk management or insurance space who want to specialize in counterterrorism risk management and protective security.
A first or second-class honors degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., criminology, law, politics, psychology, forensic science) or the professional equivalent. Students with other degrees who can show a knowledge of and interest in the elements of the subject will also be considered.
All applicants to courses that are wholly or partially delivered at the UK Defense Academy in Shrivenham, which is a Ministry of Defense (MOD) site, require security clearance to attend the site.
As one of the core modules of the MSc in Counter Terrorism Risk Management and Resilience is delivered at the UK Defense Academy, security clearance will be required to register for this course.
