Our Business Management course is dual accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the only chartered professional body in the UK dedicated to promoting the highest standards in management and leadership excellence. We have also worked with industry partners to make sure the programme is highly practical, career-focused and industry-informed to prepare you for a successful management career. As a business management student, you will develop a good knowledge of international management theory and learn how to apply it to business scenarios. With modules such as Business Ethics & Sustainability and Digital & Business Skills, the focus is very much on developing you as a rounded business professional. You’ll not only graduate with an advanced knowledge of management theory, but with the experience, professional skills and industry insights to start an exciting career across multiple sectors.
Entrepreneurship and innovation are integral parts of our teaching; these are essential if your dream is to set up your own business, but future employers also value an entrepreneurial mindset. Launch@ Salford is the Business School incubation centre that supports business start ups.

Business Management is an excellent introduction to the world of business, you get a chance to explore different topics in your first year and, if you know then what you want to specialise in – and you’ve passed your exams – you can choose to join one of our specialist pathways.
