Course Overview
The MSc in Water Technology at LUT University focuses on technical study of water systems used in cities and industries. Core studies include water treatment processes, membrane technology, hydrology basics, and water quality control. Laboratory work supports understanding of real treatment methods used in purification plants.
Students take part in project courses that address water supply systems, wastewater handling, and reuse solutions. Teaching links classroom study with research groups working on filtration systems, chemical treatment methods, and monitoring tools.
Graduates gain skills for technical roles in water utilities, environmental consulting firms, and industrial plants. Some continue into research or doctoral studies in water engineering fields. The program builds strong competence in water system design and analysis used across different sectors.
