Course Overview

The Bachelor of Pharmacy program at HDU gives students a solid base of scientific knowledge and practical skills relevant to pharmaceutical work. The curriculum mixes theory in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and drug analysis with laboratory practice that helps students become familiar with standard procedures used in drug testing and formulation. Coursework encourages methodical thinking and careful data handling, which are key skills in pharmaceutical support roles.

HDU’s campus environment and science facilities provide students with access to basic laboratory equipment for experiments and analytical tasks. Guided projects and lab sessions help students gain confidence in sample testing, chemical preparation, and interpretation of results. Graduates are prepared for entry‑level positions such as pharmaceutical lab assistant, quality control technician, regulatory support staff, and related technical roles. Many students also use this bachelor’s degree to continue their studies at the postgraduate level in pharmaceutical sciences or related health‑science degrees.

General Eligibility

• Completion of high school or equivalent certificate.

• Science subjects in high school such as chemistry and biology are recommended.

• Required documents include academic transcripts, passport copy, photo, and completed application.

• Scholarships available may include Chinese Government Scholarships, provincial awards, and limited university scholarships applied through official channels.

• Applications are submitted via HDU’s international admissions system or approved agents.

• International students must secure a valid Chinese study visa before arriving.

Language Requirement

• For programs offered in English or with English support (check with admissions):

  • IELTS: Overall 6.0

  • TOEFL iBT: 80

  • PTE Academic: 55

  • Duolingo English Test: 100

  If taught in Chinese, applicants may be asked for a Mandarin proficiency certificate such as HSK Level 4 or higher.
