Course Overview

This MSc was launched to meet the rising need for skilled professionals in clean energy. Over time, graduates have made contributions in renewable systems design, energy optimisation, and sustainability consulting. The course blends academic foundations—research methods, thermo-mechanical systems, circular economy—with practical project work and optional placement year. It has enabled students to join energy consultancies, public sector bodies or industry firms in London and beyond. General Eligibility

  • Honours degree (minimum 2:2) in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline. GCSE C grade in English and Maths expected

  • Scholarships include the Siemens Scholarship (up to £12,000 towards fees for eligible UK home students), as well as a range of merit- and need-based awards through The Commonwealth, Fulbright, Erasmus+ and others University of East London.

  • Application: submit degree transcripts, proof of language score, personal statement, CV, and two references. No application fee. Deadlines vary, e.g. Siemens Scholarship closing 29 June for September intake

Part Time Work Details

On-campus study available; students may seek part-time roles subject to UK visa limits

Language Requirement

    • IELTS Academic: Overall 6.0, with minimum 6.0 in Speaking and Writing; 5.5 in Reading and Listening.

    • TOEFL, PTE, or Duolingo: Equivalent qualifications accepted (based on standard UK equivalency).
