Course Overview

The BA (Hons) Law and Business with Foundation Year program is designed for students who have an interest in Law and wish to understand its operation in a business environment.

Our BA (Hons) Law and Business with Foundation Year course is delivered by a highly experienced faculty of academics and expert tutors from a broad mix of disciplines in the fields of law and business. The course offers flexible study options allowing you to choose which style of learning works best for you. Law and business are both fields that offer exciting career prospects. Upon graduating, you can explore a range of job roles, which include:

• Business: COO, CEO, HR director

• Civil service administrator

• Legal Executive

*Since September 2021 anyone who has not started a QLD is now able to qualify as a solicitor through the Solicitor’s Qualification Exam route (SQE). The candidate must:

• Complete both stages of assessment, SQE1 and SQE2

• Complete a degree-level qualification or equivalent

• Complete two years of qualifying work experience (QWE)

• Satisfy the SRA’s character and suitability requirements

General Eligibility

Standard entry requirements:

• 48 UCAS points (or equivalent)

• GCSE Maths grade C/4 and English grade C/4

 Non-standard applicant requirements:

Access qualifications:

• 45 credits on your Access Course

Alternative assessment:

• For mature students (those over 21 years old), or those requiring an alternative kind of assessment:

• You must take part in an academic interview to demonstrate your non-academic achievements, such as work experience.
