Course Overview

The Power and Propulsion Gas Turbine Engineer Mastership addresses the knowledge, skills, and behavior requirements of the Power and Propulsion Gas Turbine Engineer apprenticeship standard (Level 7). It is relevant to the energy, power, aviation, and defense sectors covering the design and development, operations, and maintenance of gas turbine systems. 

This apprenticeship program offers two options: power and propulsion related to rotating machinery and aircraft propulsion, respectively. The training consists of modules on the whole engine system, component design, and operations/applications.

General Eligibility

Individual employers will set the selection criteria for their apprenticeships. In addition to this, a UK second-class honors degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Applied Science will be required. In combination with a degree, relevant work experience may also be considered for qualifications below second-class honors.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • IELTS 6.5 overall and 5.5 in all skill components.
