BSc (Hons) Sport Performance Analysis

This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of sport performance analysis, including the use of technology and data to enhance athlete development and team performance. Students will learn how to collect, analyze and interpret data from various sources, including wearable devices, GPS tracking, and video analysis software. They will also gain an understanding of the theoretical foundations of sport performance analysis and how to apply these in real-world scenarios. Graduates of this course will be well-equipped to pursue careers in sports coaching, athletic training, and sports management.

The day-to-day culture of performance analysis provision, coupled with vocationally relevant experiences, creates an environment complementary to learning and professional development. This is exemplified by the successful recruitment of graduates by major clubs and International teams in a range of sports. Recent graduates from BSc Sports Performance Analysis are now working for the English Institute of Sport, Sport Wales, Welsh Rugby Union, Scarlets Rugby, Scottish Rugby Union, Bath RFC, Southampton FC, Swansea City AFC, Bristol City LFC and further afield, such as New South Wales Institute of Sport in Australia. Other students have continued on to further study at the masters and doctoral levels.

Minimum three A levels to include grades BB. No specific subjects are required. Welsh Baccalaureate – Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate is considered the third subject.

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
