Course Overview
The program builds knowledge in media writing, communication planning, audience analysis, and media production. Students study how messages are created and shared across television, radio, print, and online channels.
Course content reflects input from academic staff and media practitioners. Students complete assignments linked to real communication tasks, including campaign design and media analysis.
Graduates gain skills for careers in journalism, broadcasting, public relations, digital content production, and corporate communication. The program also supports progression into research work in media and communication studies.
General Eligibility
Applicants need a recognised bachelor’s degree in media studies, communication, journalism, arts, or a related field. Applications with other degrees may be reviewed if relevant academic or work experience is present.
Required documents include academic transcripts, CV, passport copy, and statement of purpose. Some applicants may receive an interview request.
Scholarships are available through the University of Malta based on academic performance and financial need. External funding options may also be available through government or EU-supported schemes. Applications are submitted online through the university admissions system.
