MSC Physician Associate

The MSC Physician Associate program at Anglia Ruskin University is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to become a competent and compassionate physician associate. The program focuses on developing the clinical and theoretical understanding of medicine, as well as the communication and interpersonal skills required for success in this field. Students will gain experience through placements in hospitals and clinics, as well as through simulation-based learning. Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the Physician Associate National Certifying Examination (PANCE) and become certified physician associates.

Additional Information

The MSC Physician Associate program is a full-time, 2-year program that starts in September each year. The program consists of 100 credits, with 60 credits earned through taught modules and 40 credits earned through a research project. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities such as clinical mentorship programs and academic societies.

Well train you to diagnose illnesses, develop treatment and management plans, perform procedures and deliver patient education, counseling, and health promotion. Youll be able to take a patients history, perform physical examinations and procedures, and request and interpret diagnostic test results. This is an intensive and challenging two-year postgraduate course offering significant rewards.

A first degree in life sciences (such as human biology, biochemistry, medical science, or allied health degree) with at least a 2:1 classification or an equivalent qualification.
