The postgraduate course in Flood Risk Assessment, Modelling, and Engineering (FRAME) address challenges and skills gaps in the area of flood risk management and engineering. The course is designed for individuals working or intending to work in an industry related to flood management and seeking to develop/enhance knowledge and skills specific to a role in flood modeling, urban drainage design, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), resilience and adaptation, natural flood management or flood mapping technologies. The course has been co-designed with flood risk practitioners and offers a flexible and applied approach, allowing participants the option to study while remaining in the workplace €“ putting theory into practice. FRAME offers a flexible and distinctive 'blended approach' (classroom/field-based block delivery and online learning) to acquiring a postgraduate qualification. The combination of on-site and online learning enables prospective students to study while remaining in the workplace should they wish to do so.
Bachelors degree (2:2 or higher) or international equivalent in environmental sciences, geography, geology, engineering or allied disciplines. Applicants with five or more years of work experience in water, flood and/or environmental management may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
