The Journalism course recognises the value of developing relevant skills throughout your studies with a particular focus on enhancing your ability to adapt to ever-changing environments within a fast-moving industry. In addition to a high level of professionalism, we also place an emphasis on developing key transferable skills such as written and oral communication, and digital and technical knowledge. We focus on skills that prepare you to hit the ground running, should you choose to enter the journalism industry or related professions. All our Journalism staff have backgrounds in journalism and have worked in journalism, ranging from features writers to broadcasting for the BBC.
