Geographers at Chester are as likely to be researching in a laboratory looking at indicators of environmental change or studying cultural interpretations of landscape in the media, as to be using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and other forms of digital geography to plan the location of a windfarm or map the carbon footprint of a rural community.
