Course Overview

PGCE History will enable you to develop an in-depth understanding of what it means to be an outstanding history teacher. You will be supported by a dedicated and specialist history subject tutor with over 15 years of teaching experience. You will have access to the teaching and training resources provided by the Historical Association and have the opportunity to work collaboratively with fellow trainee history teachers from a wide range of diverse backgrounds. You will also receive additional training from external organizations such as the Centre for Holocaust Education, English Heritage, the Midlands History Forum, The Infirmary, and Worcester Cathedral.

General Eligibility

Honours degree (normally 2:2 or higher) from a UK higher education institution or equivalent qualification, in History, or a very closely related subject. Applicants with a 3rd class degree will be considered on an individual basis.
