Course Overview

Religion, culture, and society have long had a far-reaching influence on educational, political, and social issues. In this course, youll explore the development of different belief systems, both monotheistic and polytheistic, and also agnostic and atheistic. Theres an emphasis on religious approaches to human rights, political freedom, gender roles, identity, and nationalism. Youll also examine religious conflicts and social problems emerging in the current global order, along with issues relating to religious communities in connection with secularisation and globalization.
