Course Overview

Operating Department Practitioners help respond to the physical and psychological needs of patients in surgery. The course places great emphasis on practical learning so you'll get to experience live clinical environments. Working under supervision, you will help with daily duties, and learning by observing, shadowing, and practicing. You'll have access to our state-of-the-art clinical skills and anatomy laboratories.

General Eligibility

  • UCAS: 112 points at A2

  • BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM

  • BTEC Diploma: D*D*

  • Pass Access Course: 112 UCAS points

  • International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass including 112 points from Higher Level Subjects

  • T Level: M

  • IELTS: 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5

  • GCSEs: 5 at grade C/4 including Maths and English or equivalent

  • A satisfactory Criminal records declaration (DBS/Disclosure Scotland) and Occupational Health clearance are required for this course.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
