Course Overview

Have you spent most of your life taking things apart to see how they work? If so, the Mechanical Engineering, BEng (Hons) - Degree Apprenticeship is for you. Well develop you into an engineer who can apply basic engineering concepts and mechanical processes and use them to design new devices and systems. Engineers need good problem-solving skills, taking scientific principles and discoveries and using them to design and build useful products. Youll learn how to systematically apply those principles in order to solve unpredictable, real-world engineering problems. Youll be equipped with the skills and expertise needed to design, analyze and optimize mechanical systems.

General Eligibility

A2: Three A2 subjects or two A2 subjects plus one single award Advanced VCE or One A2 level subject plus one double award Advanced Vocational certificate of education I BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM I BTEC Diploma D*D I Access to Higher Education Diploma: 106-112 points I IELTS: 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5 I International Baccalaureate: Pass Diploma with 104-112 UCAS points from Higher Level Subjects I GCSEs: Maths and English at Grade C/4 or equivalent such as Level 2 functional skills in Maths and English I Our Apprenticeships have flexible entry requirements which take into consideration prior qualifications and experience. This may also include consideration of year of entry I If an applicant has gained a BTEC Higher National Diploma in Engineering, it may be possible to achieve entry with advanced standing.
