Course Overview

This course is structured around the engineering capabilities that graduates require, rather than traditional academic sub-disciplines. Join a vibrant and active research community. Our Manufacturing Engineering degree is based on mechanical engineering fundamentals combined with specialist modules in Automated Production and Advanced Manufacturing.

In addition to fundamental elements such as mechanics, materials, CAD/CAE/CAM, and operations management, you’ll also develop skills in user needs and business plan development.

You’ll develop project work that presents an opportunity to integrate learning across the course.

General Eligibility

  • UCAS: 104 points at A2 including Grade C in A Level Maths and Physics or STEM

  • BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM in Engineering, including Merit in Maths units

  • BTEC Diploma: D*D including sufficient Science

  • International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass including 104 points from Higher Level subjects including relevant Science at Higher Level

  • T Level: M including Maths and Physics or STEM IELTS: 6.0

  • GCSEs: 5 at grade C/4 including Maths and English or equivalent

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • IELTS: 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5
