The BEng Civil Engineering program at Cape Breton University provides students with a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, theories, and practices. In the first two years, students will study at CBU, where they will gain a comprehensive understanding of civil engineering fundamentals, including mathematics, physics, materials science, and engineering mechanics. In the final two years, students will transfer to Dalhousie University, where they will specialize in one of several areas of civil engineering, such as structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, water resources engineering, or transportation engineering. The program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a rapidly changing profession.

The BEng Civil Engineering program is accredited by Engineers Canada, and graduates are eligible to become members of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). The program also offers co-op work terms, research opportunities, and study abroad experiences.
