Studying on BA (Hons) in Fine Art Technology, you will be at the forefront of future-focused exploration, experimenting, and developing emerging technology such as AR/VR (XR), AI, and digital fabrication in a refined art studio context culture and technology.
For instance, going back to the discovery of clear glass, created by artists and then appropriated by science and engineers to make the early chemistry instruments, art plays its role in shaping the world around us. As an advanced society, we must explore and experiment with all technology. Moreover, as artists, we should look for new and original ways to communicate and interact with the latest knowledge by exploring new technologies.
You will be supported by the yearly employability initiative Detour Ahead: Roadmaps for the Art and Design Industry, a week-long inter-disciplinary guest series offering you industry insights as well as guidance on subjects such as freelancing, copyright, and tax.
You will be part of a new generation of artists with fresh perspectives and approaches (divergent thinking), with the skill sets required for Industry 4.0 (fourth industrial age), giving you an edge in the competitive job market.
