Our English Literature MLitt allows you to work around your own research interests. It will prepare you for further research within and beyond academia. Our specialist areas include Medieval and early modern literature; eighteenth-century and Romantic literature; Victorian literature; post-colonial literature; children's literature and theatre studies. Our graduates are in demand, and they continue to be among the most employable in the country. By providing internships and work experience placements wherever possible, we ensure you have the relevant skills to excel in your chosen career. Employers play an active role in our degrees by delivering technical lectures or taking a role in professional skills modules. Many PhD programs include training and work experience in commercial laboratories.
