The Mathematics and Physics Foundation Year course has been specifically designed to allow you to enhance your knowledge and understanding of core mathematics and physics principles, whilst enabling you to progress to your selected BSc or integrated master's degree course upon successful completion. Taught by a specialist team of academics, this course consists of six modules that cover core aspects of mathematics and physics. You will also develop key employability skills that will prove invaluable when you enter the workplace. Delivered in industry-leading facilities by our highly experienced team, you will be supported at every step of your course to ensure an enjoyable experience that will enhance your learning and future employment prospects. Successful completion of this course will provide you with the knowledge required for your subsequent undergraduate degree in Mathematics BSc (Hons), Mathematics MMath (Hons), Physics BSc (Hons), Physics MPhys (Hons), Physics with Astrophysics BSc (Hons), or Physics with Astrophysics MPhys (Hons) at Northumbria.
80 UCAS Tariff points From a combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications which may include: A-level, BTEC Diplomas/Extended Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, Access to HE Diplomas, or the International Baccalaureate. GCSE Requirements: Applicants will need Maths and English Language at minimum grade 4/C, or an equivalent.
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
International applicants should have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with 5.5 in each component (or an approved equivalent*).
