On successful completion of the programme you’re eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Midwife. There are many opportunities for midwives – from rotational posts in hospitals or the community, to specialist practitioner and management roles.
Post-registration you might choose to study further, at Masters or PhD level.
A-level: ABB including Biology or Human Biology
Not general studies or critical thinking.
GCSE: GCSEs: 5 GCSEs at a Grade 5 / B, including English (English Language or English Literature), Mathematics, and two Sciences (either single sciences (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) or dual-award)
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic or IELTS for UKVI (United Kingdom Visas and Immigration) (Academic) or IELTS Online at 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in each component skill. Please note that we cannot accept results from these tests that are over two years old at the start date of the course you intend to study.
TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test) or TOEFL iBT Home Edition at 80 overall with no less than 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking, and 19 in writing. Please note that we do not accept TOEFL My Best scores and we expect candidates to have met the relevant requirements from a single TOEFL test.
