Course Overview

Your foundation year will be shared with others studying a degree with a foundation year at the School of Human Sciences, which will be a great opportunity to meet students beyond your course and learn about different scientific disciplines. The shared curriculum will focus on equipping you with fundamental scientific principles and methods that are necessary for more advanced study at the undergraduate level. Youll also learn how to work safely and effectively in a laboratory environment.

General Eligibility

At least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma) English Language and Mathematics GCSEs at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent). If you meet the UCAS points criteria but obtained a D/3 in English and/or Mathematics at GCSE, you may be offered a University test in these areas.
