Your foundation year will be shared with students from other specialisms in the School of Human Sciences, which will provide the perfect opportunity to meet other students from across the School and learn about their academic interests. This year will focus on developing your study skills as well as your fundamental scientific knowledge in the fields of biochemistry, biology, chemistry, nutrition, and sports science, which youll find necessary for more in-depth study in your subsequent three years.
At least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma) but may not have achieved the appropriate grades to immediately join a BSc program. English Language and Mathematics GCSEs at grade C (grade 4) or above (or equivalent). Applicants who meet the UCAS points criteria but who obtained a D (grade 3) in English and/or Maths at GCSE may be offered a University test in these areas.
