On this four-year course, youll develop in-depth knowledge in the field of sport and exercise science, including physiology, anatomy, psychology, and coaching. You'll achieve an understanding of the role of therapists and scientists in sport and learn about the ways in which these roles may help to increase performance or prevent injury. Your foundation year will equip you with vital scientific and study skills, so youll be well prepared to undertake more intense study in the subsequent three years of your degree. This year will be shared with students from other subject specialisms, presenting a great opportunity for you to learn about different areas of human sciences and meet students from different subjects.
at least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma) but may not have achieved the appropriate grades to immediately join a BSc program. English Language and Mathematics GCSEs at grade C (grade 4) or above (or equivalent). Applicants who meet the UCAS points criteria but who obtained a D (grade 3) in English and/or Maths at GCSE may be offered a University test in these areas.
