Course Overview

The foundation year will see you gain the knowledge and key skills youll need in your subsequent years of scientific studies. It serves as an introduction to the core modules that are essential for a career in science, Biology, Chemistry, and Numeracy. Youll also have the chance to study one of two optional modules, biochemistry or nutrition and sports science. Following your foundation year, youll be ready to build on the knowledge youve acquired and progress onto one of our science-related BSc (Hons) degrees. Youll study a wide variety of core and optional modules designed to give you the skills, qualifications, and expertise necessary for a rewarding career.

General Eligibility

At least one A level at grade C (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma). English Language and Mathematics GCSEs at grade C (grade 4) or above (or equivalent).
