Foundation year will allow you to build your academic ability and confidence to tackle the challenges of studying photojournalism at the undergraduate level. Teaching during this year will focus on developing your ability to recognize the structural qualities of different media and essential elements in communications. The program will also develop your vital study skills, including essay writing, critical analysis, research, and writing for digital/traditional media.
At least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma) English Language at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent, eg Functional Skills at Level 2) €“ if you meet UCAS points criteria but obtained a grade D/3 in English at GCSE you may be offered a University test in these areas.
