Course Overview

The foundation year on this bachelors degree in painting will allow you to explore the characteristics of different art disciplines and produce a substantial portfolio of high-quality work, to help you to progress to the subsequent three years of the program. As such, the foundation year is also preparatory, as it will allow you to build a portfolio of skills and techniques that will be necessary to study at the undergraduate level.

General Eligibility

At least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma) English Language GCSE at grade C (grade 4 from 2017) or above (or equivalent).
