The foundation year (Year 0) on this jewelry and accessories course is designed to prepare you for study at the undergraduate level and help you determine your interest in different creative practices within the School of Art, Architecture, and Design. Youll share the foundation year with other students enrolled in courses with a foundation year. The shared curriculum will develop your techniques in drawing, composition (2D and 3D), as well as studio and workshop skills. These creative practices will be taught in the context of historical, contemporary, and cultural discourse, which will equip you to become an intellectual enquirer with a sense of professional responsibility.
At least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma). English Language GCSE at grade C (grade 4 from 2017) or above (or equivalent).
