Course Overview

Birkbeck’s BSc Management is ideal if you are aspiring to become a team leader or join senior management within the area in which you work. It will equip you with the skills required to flourish within the rapidly changing environment in which organizations operate and compete and become a confident manager or business practitioner. You will gain an insight into a broad range of management issues in key areas such as: 

  • strategic management 

  • marketing 

  • finance 

  • project and operations management 

  • human resource management 

  • accounting 

  • managerial economics. 

Graduates can pursue career paths in management, local and national government, business, or industry. Possible professions include:

  • chartered management accountant

  • human resources officer

  • management consultant

General Eligibility

UCAS TARIFF POINTS:

96-128 points (e.g. A-levels CCC-ABB)

The UCAS tariff score is applicable to you if you have recently studied a qualification that has a UCAS tariff equivalence. UCAS provides a tariff calculator for you to work out what your qualification is worth within the UCAS tariff.

GCSEs:

Applicants will normally be expected to have grade C or grade 4 in GCSE-level English and mathematics.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub-tests.
