Nursing with Registration (Adult Nursing) BSc (Hons)

This course provides students with the knowledge, skills and practical experience necessary to become a registered adult nurse. Students will learn about the different aspects of adult nursing, including acute and chronic illnesses, as well as how to provide care for patients in a variety of settings. The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the profession, as well as the skills and competencies needed to practice safely and effectively. Graduates of the course will be eligible to register as adult nurses with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

The course is delivered through a combination of lectures, seminars, workshops and practical sessions. Students will have the opportunity to engage in clinical placements in a variety of settings, including hospitals, community healthcare settings and primary care. The course also provides opportunities for students to undertake research projects and gain experience in leadership and management.

The Access course must have a minimum of 12 science credits (biology, chemistry or physics). If not, applicants must also have a GCSE Science grade 4 or above to meet the requirements. GCSE English and Maths or functional skills level 2 qualifications in English or Maths are required. We will normally require students to have had a break from full-time education before undertaking the Access course.
