TV and live event broadcast and streaming Formerly BSc (Hons) Digital Television Technology, this reputable and unique television broadcasting degree will allow you to master the art of technical broadcasting during live streaming and pre-recorded events, as well as gain a deep understanding of the TV industry and the principles of broadcast engineering.
Students will be expected to have five GCSEs (grade C/level 4 or above) or equivalent (including English), and hold at least one of the below or equivalent UK/international qualifications. Qualifications accepted: Two A levels, grade C or above Four AS levels, grade C or above Two vocational A levels, grade C or above Level three Foundation Diploma or National Diploma Advanced Diploma, grade C or above International Baccalaureate, 24 points or above Selection criteria: Students should ideally have a background in technology, science, maths, technical drawing/ design or media. Experience in live events or theatre is also valuable. Applicants do not need to submit a portfolio of work, but they may wish to do so. This course is likely to appeal to if you are interested in STEM careers but have not thought of broadcast engineering, so you would be asked to show your interest by researching roles and coming to interview prepared with questions about how this course matches your interests.
