Blend the traditional with the cutting edge to create stunning work on our BA (Hons) Jewellery and Silversmithing course at UCA Farnham. We encourage diverse approaches to jewellery and silversmithing, providing you with the specialist technical and creative skills you need to develop your ideas and make them a reality. You will gain valuable practical experience as you take part in international competitions, placements and industry projects. Throughout your studies, you’ll have access to our fully-equipped workshops and state-of-the-art jewellery studio, where you’ll get the chance to work with a range of materials including metal, ceramics, glass, wood, plastics and textiles. Along the way, you'll be taught by true experts in the craft - all your lecturers are established designers, makers or researchers, so you can be confident that everything you learn on the course will be relevant to real-life working environments. From 2022 entry you have the option to complete a Professional Practice Year as part of this course. This will give you the opportunity to develop your professional, academic and personal potential, equipping you to be confident and engaged in creative workplaces. Employers widely recognise these qualities, and a significant proportion of placement students are offered graduate-level jobs or go onto postgraduate study.
