Course Overview
This programme builds advanced knowledge in accounting practice and financial reporting standards used across global business settings. Students work on topics such as auditing methods, taxation systems, financial analysis, and corporate governance structures.
Learning includes lectures, seminars, and case studies based on real financial data. Assignments focus on practical accounting tasks, helping students build accuracy in financial reporting and decision-making.
The University of Malta provides access to academic staff with experience in accounting and finance practice. Students also gain exposure to international accounting standards used by companies and organisations worldwide.
Graduates move into roles such as auditor, financial analyst, tax consultant, or management accountant. Some continue into professional certification routes or doctoral studies in accounting and finance.
General Eligibility
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Some cases may require prior coursework in accounting or finance subjects.
Scholarships may be available for high-performing students and EU/EEA applicants depending on funding cycles.

Applicants may be exempt if prior studies were fully taught in English.
