Previously known as the MSc in Energy Systems and Thermal Processes, Advanced Heat Engineering MSc has evolved over the past 40 years to meet the industry needs and demands of today. The course has been developed based on ongoing discussions with industrial experts, employers, sponsors, and previous students, with the drive towards net zero and sustainable business, making it more relevant than ever.

A first or second-class UK honors degree in mathematics, physics, or an engineering discipline. Other recognized professional qualifications or several years of relevant industrial experience may be accepted as equivalent; subject to approval by the Course Director.
Applicants who do not fulfill the standard entry requirements can apply for the Pre-master's course, successful completion of which will qualify them for entry to this course for a second year of study.
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS 6.5 overall and 5.5 in all skill components.
