Course Overview

The MSc in Marine Operations is exclusively available for graduates of the Lloyd’s Maritime Academy and North Kent College qualifying Diploma courses to continue their study to postgraduate level. This masters gives you the unique opportunity to build on your maritime qualification and progress your existing shipping knowledge and practical expertise.

General Eligibility

  • Those wishing to undertake the MSc in Marine Operations (Continuation) must have already studied one of the following with Lloyd’s Maritime Academy and North Kent College:

    • Diploma in Marine Surveying

    • Diploma in Ship Superintendency

    • Diploma in Small Craft Surveying

    • Diploma in Marine Accident Investigation

    • Diploma in Marine Engineering

    • Diploma in Surveying of Offshore Floating Units

You must also have:

  • A second class honours degree or above

  • A minimum of three years’ managerial or professional experience at the appropriate level in an occupation closely related to Marine Operations

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • The IELTS score for international applicants is 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in each component).
